1. One-Handed Mode
One-handed mode is a cool feature of the Google keyboard. You can enable one-handed mode while you’re using a big-screen smartphone with one hand only. You can switch the keyboard layout between left-hand and right-hand mode. To enable the one-handed mode, click on three horizontal dots from and click one-handed.

2. Floating Mode
Floating Mode is just an enhanced version of the one-handed mode. Here, you can resize and move your keyboard around the screen. You can use it in a situation if your smartphone’s display is damage from the side, you can move your keyboard to the middle of the screen to type message. To enable the floating mode, click on three horizontal dots while typing and choose the floating mode.
3. Emojis
Emojis are necessary while messaging on WhatsApp, Facebook or other social platforms. It makes communications more fun to messages by adding the emojis. However, it’s an essential feature for every keyboard app either its Android keyboard or iOS keyboard. To use emojis while typing, click emoji symbol from the bottom or top right corner from the keyboard and choose emojis. Here, you can search for emojis that suits your message.

4. Voice Typing
Voice typing is a very old useful feature that was introduced with Google keyboard and it is still used. You can use it for fast typing without actual typing, you just need to say something, and it will type that automatically. To use voice typing, tap on the mic symbol and say something to type. PS. You can say whatever in any which language you use.
5. Clipboard
The clipboards are sometimes very useful. Here, you can save your all history of copy-paste of the texts that you have copied for the earlier uses. Or you can use it to copy multiple texts or lines at the same time. To use the clipboard on the keyboard, click on the clipboard symbol (right side of three – horizontal dots) and here you can see all previously-stored copied texts.

6. Multiple Themes

7. Glide Typing
Glide typing is the easiest and fastest way to type with the Google keyboard. You just need to swipe your fingers over the alphabet letters and the smart AI will recognize the word you want to type. Some words may not be detected properly but it works well most of the time. To enable the Glide typing, follow the given steps:
- Goto smartphone’s settings
- Tap “Additional Settings“
- Click “Language & input“
- Click on “Gboard” the choose “Glide Typing“
- Toggle it on to enable glide typing

8. Handwriting
Handwriting is not a very cool feature only you can use it for fun. As it suggests, handwriting is used to type letters or words manually on the black box. You can use for the learner babies to learn Alphabet or Words.
9. Gifs Support
Earlier, we needed to download a separate keyboard app from the play store to get the Gifs support. Now, the Google keyboard has introduced us with inbuilt Gifs support. You can use it to share on social media platforms directly from the keyboard. WhatsApp and Facebook have the official Gifs support, so feel to share Gifs.

10. Multi-Language
Most of the keyboard apps including Google keyboard supports the multi-language. GBoard supports almost every language of the world including English, Chinese, Hindi, Urdu, etc. Follow these steps to add multi-language to the Google keyboard:
- Go to “GBoard settings” (as I shown you earlier)
- Select “Languages“
- Click “Add Keyboard“
- Choose Your preferred language and hit Done.
11. Inbuilt Translator
Now you can translate the words or sentences directly to the Google keyboard while typing without using any Translator apps such as Google Translate. It translates the language in real-time. It’s very easy to do. To use this feature while typing, click on Translator ago and type in your language and choose the language in which you want to translate.
