Why delete WhatsApp Account?
First of all, WhatsApp is my and everyone’s favorite messenger app and there’s nothing that convinces you to leave it. But Just like other apps, WhatsApp has some cons as well which I’ve pointed out below
- WhatsApp has official support only for smartphones.
- WhatsApp groups have very frequent messages might irritate you a lot.
- Anyone can send you a message if he/she has your WhatsApp number.
- You can’t send large size files on WhatsApp.
- It’s not highly customizable like other message apps such as Viber, Hike, etc.
WhatsApp easily can fix these problems after a few updates.
After Deleting WhatsApp Account
- Noone will not able to send message to your number.
- All stored messages will be deleted.
- Any group associated with your WhatsApp number will be removed.
- Every mobile number synced with WhatsApp will be deleted.
It will take 90 days to delete all the data from the WhatsApp server.

How to delete WhatsApp account
- Open WhatsApp on your smartphone
- Tap three-dot from right-top corner
- Go to WhatsApp Settings
- Tap Account
- Select Delete my account
- Enter your registered mobile number here
- At the last step, Tap on delete my account to delete your WhatsApp account.

If you’re going to switch your mobile number to a new WhatsApp number then there’s no need of deleting your account. Instead, WhatsApp allows you to change your number. All messages, Groups, and settings will automatically import into a new WhatsApp account.
How to Change WhatsApp Number
- Open WhatsApp on your smartphone
- Goto Settings from three vertical dots
- Tap Account
- Select Change Number option
- Then Tap Next
- Here, Enter your current and new WhatsApp number from which you want to replace and Tap Next
- Then Confirm the OTP from the new mobile number and that’s it.
You’ve successfully changed your WhatsApp mobile number.
