WhatsApp Rolled Out 5 New Features You Need To Know

WhatsApp, owned by Meta company, is a very popular instant messaging app on mobile platforms. It was first founded by Jan Koum and Brian Acton and later on acquired by Meta (Former Facebook) in 2014. WhatsApp has been downloaded and used by over approximately two billion monthly active users worldwide. Clearly, it’s the most used mobile messaging platform ever. 1. Sort your chat with an Unread filter: When you have so many WhatsApp groups and chats, it becomes harder to view all the unread messages. Well, WhatsApp now allows you to filter and view unread messages on the mobile app. To do so, just open WhatsApp on your smartphone, tap on Search icon from the top, tap on Unread. That will filter all the unread messages for you.

2. Undo “delete for me”: You can now undo messages that you just deleted using the “delete for me” option by mistake. When you’ll use the “Delete for me” option to delete a message, a notification message will pop up “Message Deleted … Undo”. You can click on the Undo option to restore the message again.

3. Link Previews: WhatsApp was working on this feature for quite some time and now it’s finally available to global users. With the help of this feature, you can see the previews of a link/URL on WhatsApp status updates. After then, you can decide whether you should visit the link or not.

4. Leave Group without notification: Earlier with the older WhatsApp version, when you leave a group on WhatsApp then all the group members get a notification that you’ve left the group. But, it is changed now with the latest WhatsApp update. Now when you leave a group on WhatsApp only the admin/admins get the notification.

5. Delete For Everyone for Group Admin: Now group admins have the feature to delete messages for everyone. To use it, just update your WhatsApp to the latest version and open a group in which you’re an admin, select a message (or messages) by another user and tap on the delete icon from the top, then choose “Delete for everyone”.
